Today George and I went to a little restaurant/cafe that Moby opened up called Teany. I had the "Teany bagel" which was really good: an everything bagel with cheese and tomato and fake bacon. There were 93 different kinds of tea, plus little snacky things like soup, sandwiches, a hummus platter, plus champagne cocktails and beer. I tried something called a "raspbellini" which was champagne with raspberry and a little garnish of starfruit. It was so good; I could have had three. Alas, at $10 each there was no way. The interior was really nice too: all white with metal chairs and tables. It was also really air conditioned which was nearly the best part since I was passing out from heat stroke the minute we left the apartment. Music; no Moby but they had the CD player on shuffle ( I asked) so we heard Magnetic Fields, Air, Portishead, Social Distortion, Blondie, and that's all I remember.

Then after milling about the east village we went to El Sombrero for take-away margaritas. They have big machine that constantly stirs around a vat of white, frozen margarita that you can get to go in an innocuous paper cup, like you'd get a milkshake in. I got a small one to go and the cup was advertising Clarinex. I've never seen cups advertising pharmaceuticals.

I also picked up the soundtrack to Trouble Every Day by the Tindersticks. I think I may like the soundtrack better than the actual movie, although I do like Vincent Gallo a whole lot. He was great.

Ok, I have to go make my peanut butter and jelly sandwich to bring for lunch tomorrow.Bye.
