WAITRESS ASKS DINERS IF THEY WANT SEPARATE CHECKS

NEW YORK, NY, June 7 - A waitress at the Lemon Lime Coffee Shop on 6th Ave. in Manhattan was overhead today asking a party of three if they wanted seperate checks. The waitress looked at the diners, two young Latina women and a young Asian woman, and said "Separate checks?" One of the young Latina women replied, "Yes."

It is unclear if all waitstaff at the Lemon Lime routinely ask parties of three or more if they want separate checks, or if this was an isolated incident.
