I have finished my first semester of Financial Analysis! I can't even begin to explain what total hell this has been, but maybe this will give you a clue: "The term unearned revenues refers to cash received in advance of providing products and services. Unearned revenues, also called deferred revenues, are liabilities." "Accrual basis accounting uses the adjusting process to recognize revenues when earned and to match expenses with revenues. This means that the economic effects of revenues and expenses are recorded when earned or incurred, not when cash is received or paid." Ugggg...make it stop.

Anyway, I think I've managed to wrangle a B, which means my company will reimburse me, thank fucking god.

Listening:

Adam Ant: Prince Charming. "Sex" is so Love and Rockets it's eerie.

Goldfrapp: Black Cherry. Not so great, but "Hairy Trees" and "Strict Machine" are hot.

Reading:

Leap of Faith/Queen Noor. Her writing style is amazingly simple and understated, in complete contrast to the subject matter at hand.

The Colossus of New York/Colson Whithead. I got sick of the "spoken work" writing style, if that makes any sense, but some parts I completely identified with: "After those steps turnstiles spin and schemes kick in, where to stand and wait. It is hard to escape the suspicion that your train just left, the last squeal of your train drained away the moment you reached the platform, and if you had acted differently everything would be better." So true, so true.
