The Boy From Oz was awesome - Hugh Jackman was fantastic: lots of tight pants and dancing and singing, but the best was when he descended a staircase of giant light-up piano keys in tight, sparkly white pants singing "I Go to Rio" surrounded by Vegas-style showgirls. Ha!
What I want to know is, when did it become ok to wear jeans and flip-flops to the theater? It was revolting seeing these hordes of tourists in shorts and t-shirts and sandals herding their way into the theater. Have a little respect for the performers and the fact that you are on Broadway! Jesus. We are such a lounge lizard culture. I attribute this demise of the concept of "proper attire" directly to J. Lo and her sweatsuits. It makes me want to rebel and start dressing up all the time, even to go grocery shopping.
Listening: Kid Dynamite.
Drinking: Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA. Jay and I thought this was a New England beer when we plucked it out from 8,000 beer choices at d.b.a. but turns out it's from Delaware. No matter; it's good stuff!
