1) Ten Years Ago...I had just started UNH after a near mental breakdown at Hampshire and a semester off working at The Concord Monitor. Little did I know a swift decent into music snobbery was awaiting me.

2) 5 Years Ago...I packed all my belongings into a U-Haul and with "Ramble On" blaring out of the radio, moved to Brooklyn.

3) One Year Ago...I had just moved to Jersey City and was discovering the pleasures of walking through a mall twice a day to get to work (is my facetiousness coming through here?).

4) Yesterday...G and I walked to Valentino Pier in Red Hook, had lunch at Hope and Anchor, indulged in $1 cup-cakes next door at Baked, went home and watched A Very Long Engagement, and that evening went out for Italian at Viola. We saw a giant waterbug scoot under the table behind us, which luckily didn't freak me out too much. Yuck.

5) Today...Back to work, grocery shopping, get laundry ready for drop-off. I love how they fold the underwear at my laundromat, in these tiny little balls that fit perfectly in my underwear drawer. It's undewear origami!

6) Tomorrow...Work, gym, pick up laundry, admire my array of underwear balls.

7) 5 Snacks I Enjoy...Sour Jelly-Belly jellybeans, Santa Cruz Organic Blackberry Apple Sauce, Viactive Chocolate Calcium Chews, potato chips.

8) 5 bands that I know lyrics to...The Smiths, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Simon and Garfunkel, James Taylor.

9) 5 things I'd do with $100,000,000...Pay off my student loans, buy some pants, have groceries delivered for the rest of my life, employ a chauffeur, give the rest to Hillary Clinton for her presidential bid.

10) 5 locations I'd like to run away to...Sardenia, Belgium, French Riviera, Maine coast, Cape Cod.

11) 5 bad habits I have...not blinking, crossing my legs constantly, gnawing my teeth in my sleep, eating lots of candy, spending too much time online.

12) 5 things I like doing...spending Sunday morning reading the NY Times, drinking coffee and watching McLaughlin Group and Food Network with G; eating out; saving money (unfortunately these two things do not jive - usually the spring rolls win out); wearing big comfy wool sweaters with no coat and a chill in the air; carving pumpkins.

13) 5 things I would never wear...socks and sandals, applique sweatshirts, anything turquoise, those rubber shoe-things you slip over real shoes to keep them dry in the rain, a trucker hat.

17) 5 biggest joys at the moment...family, friends, G (my BF), the early autumn air, the thought of my eventual departure from New Jersey.
