Hate holding the overhead bar on the subway? Get a Transtrap! It's definitely uncomfortable having to hold the overhead bar, and the decreased flexibility of, and high potential for overheating in, full winter gear makes it next to impossible to hold your arm over your head for very long. Not to mention the germ factor of the metal. It's a cool idea, but I don't think I'd want to carry one of these things around. I carry around enough crap as it is.

The PATH has a few metal "straps" that swivle back and forth as the train moves, and of course you swivle with it so you look like you're doing some kind of interpretive dance the whole way home. The Reader Sling seems to require a great deal of balance. I mean, these trains cruise - you'd be lurching around with your arm stuck in one of these things! The real benefit would not be being able to read, but looking like such a freak no one would come near you. Then you'd get a seat!
