I've been tagged by McPolack. The rules: write ten random/odd facts about oneself and then tag 5 others.

1) I was an extra in Avril Lavigne's "Losing Grip" video. Here's a post about how that came to fruition.

2) This isn't about me, but my dad proof-read Christa McAuliffe's winning "Teacher in Space" essay.

3) This isn't about me either, but my mom went on a date with Dennis Wilson of the Beach Boys, in the 60s when they played in Manchester (he's the one in the very front). My uncle had a hand in arranging the show, and hence he arranged the date.

4) Balloons make me nervous.

5) When I was little, my neighbor friend Krista and I "ran away," which consisted of putting a box of Hostess donuts in a suitcase, climbing the scafolding on the side of her house, and eating them.

6) I subscribe to The New Yorker, New York Magazine, Punk Planet, Budget Travel, Budget Living, Print, and Columbia Journalism Review.

7) I used to love Sidney Sheldon novels when I was in the 6th/7th grade.

8) "Red" is my favorite candy flavor.

9) I chose St. Stephen as my confirmation name in high school because I was having a Grateful Dead phase. And I was a smart-ass.

10) I love owls.

I don't know any other bloggers to tag, except Blueroom, but he's got his hands full with his little peanut, so I doubt he'll have time.

Balloons make me nervous, too. And you were way cooler with your confirmation name choice. I went with my godmother's name, Rebecca. Neat stuff about your mom and dad, too!

Yeah, that stuff about my parents, I figured those were two pretty random facts!
