I really need to start reading all the email newsletters I sign up for, because every now and then there is something worth the tedium. Take, for instance, Isobel Campbell at Joe's Pub. Sold out, dammit. But Daniel Agust is there the same night, and looks like there still might be hope for catching that one.

And guess who's opening up for Coldplay at the Verizon Wireless Arena? Richard Ashcroft! On Elm Street! I can't believe it. Oh how I want to go! I would so be working the WUNH connection for this one if I was still there, however futile.

Th' Faith Healers have two NY dates scheduled, which are alas totally unworkable for a student/9-5iver like myself. Somebody knock some sense into me, please? I should at least aim for the Monday night show when I don't have class. I have secured a review of the Pa's Lounge show, however, so stay tuned for that.

The Lily's are at Magnetic Field this weekend, which being in my adopted backyard I really have no excuse to miss. As long as it doesn't sell out, I really hope to be there. Also want to make time to hang out with D who's in town doing sound for Film School, who just had their van stolen with all their gear in it. Total, total bummer. Looks like they are working to make the shows go on, however, so good luck to them.

Back to Joe's Pub, Thomas Dolby will be there May 3 and 4. What's that contraption on his head? Looks pretty neat. I'd like to check this out.

Having an iPod Shuffle is totally perfect for me because I usually listen to the same five songs over and over again for weeks, sometimes months, before I get sick of them and move on to the next batch. This week I'm obessed with only 3 songs, "Pitfalls" and "Breet" by Film School and "Victim Card" by Snowden.
