I've been eating and drinking for four days straight - one more day to go! For my five year anniversary at my job, my employer will reimburse a dinner out for two for up to $125.00, so G and I are going to try Al Forno. I'm going to have to do some serious gym time to make up for these past four days - it hasn't helped that my graduating grad school has coincided with the holiday most prone to serious pigging out. Eh, whatever. It's been a nice change from my boring oatmeal and banana every morning, and vegetable/seitan/rice mush combos for dinner.
Thanksgiving was really good. My train was an hour late leaving Penn Station on Tuesday, which sucked, but I got my own seat so that sort of made up for it. G's family came to Providence, so we had a reservation for 12 at Barnsiders. We wanted to have everyone back to G's after dinner for desert, but we didn't have enough time (or a car) to go get anything. So we had his sister bring us to the only place open on Thanksgiving, the gas station, where we bought $26 worth of candy and ice cream for a make your own sundae bar. This was a big hit with the kids, and since the kids were preoccupied and happy, it was also a big hit with the adults. We were done by 7pm, at which point G's family went back to the hotel and we crashed out on the couch in a food coma for the next four hours.
Back to Brooklyn tomorrow. Waah. Right now I'm hanging out with G in the architecture studio at RISD while he does some drawings...
