The doctor confirmed yesterday that my eye is healing slowly. Everything looks fine, she said, it's just healing slowly. So I had to go to the drugstore and buy something called Muro-128, which is this vaseline-type stuff I have to swipe along the inside of my lower eyelid before going to bed. I've worn contacts for nearly 15 years, and I have no trouble "touching" my eyeball, but this...this is gross, pulling the lid down and and getting the stuff in there. It creates a film over my eye so I have to go right to bed after I put it on because I can't see anything. I have no idea when I'm getting my right eye done now. Oh well. At least I can READ again, thank God.
Had a fun weekend in NJ with G and his family. Bowling, pizza, ice cream, Scrabble. I was sorry to see G go, as usual. I'm feeling more and more ready to get out the city. It hits harder each time I get out of here, even if it's just for a day.
