Man is it hard being the new kid on the block at a new job. Everyone knows each other, they know the corporate culture, they know how to get to the cafeteria without getting lost. It's tricky figuring out how things work, like how my laptop snaps into the docking station without making a horrible beeping sound. The week has gone well overall, but it's definitely been a bit stressful. I am happy to report that I have real office, however! With a ceiling! None of that offical crap (a cubicle with walls and a door). And tomorrow is my first taste of year-round "summer Fridays:" I'm outta there at 1pm! Although it's killer working 7:45am-5pm the rest of the week to make up for it, with only a half hour lunch! Ug! Tomorrow is not going to be a very fun early release though: I have to make my way to the DMV and get my RI driver's license. Blah.
