Hi folks!

Does anyone even come here anymore?

I have not posted in forever. It was a rough winter. Long, cold, and dark, in an unfamiliar land (RI) with unfamiliar people (new coworkers), a large hunk of steel and glass (car) to maneuver through unfamiliar streets (Providence/Pawtucket) causing undue stress and little free time. I gained weight. I watched a lot of TV. I drank too much red wine. I learned French (un peu).

Thankfully, summer is now upon me and with it, new perspective and new energy. I'm in the final days of a ten-day vacation, which has done wonders for my psyche and stress level. I am missing NYC terribly (I had to let my New Yorker subscription expire which was beyond traumatic), but have vowed to enjoy this next year in RI to its fullest. G and I will began a new adventure next May upon his graduation from RISD. Until then, I am going to settle in, daydream about our next steps, and just enjoy the ride.
