Today G and I took an impromptu drive down to Newport. We hopped in the car not really sure where we were headed. We skipped through our usual stop, Bristol, and then decided it was a perfect day to visit Newport: cloudy and windy and drizzly, ie No Tourists!! We were right too: parking was a breeze and the sidewalks were maneuverable. We settled into Buskers for some beers and veggie burgers. The food is utterly forgettable, but it has a nice atmosphere, the staff are nice, and they have hard cider for G, so it's a winner.

Now we're home, it's raining, and we have three episodes left of Freaks and Geeks. A nice, lazy Saturday night, which I will also spend trying not to focus on the fact that I'm back to work on Monday.
