I can see! I can see!

It is totally amazing. The Lasik went fine and I seem to be healing up fine. So much better and easier than the PRK that I had in my right eye a year ago. Although, the Lasik procedure was longer than PRK (10 minutes as opposed to 45 seconds) so I started to get creeped out seeing all kinds of activity going on on my eyeball. They gave me a valium to relax me, which totally worked (weeeee!!!) but I didn't feel so relaxed at about minute 5. I was totally loopy afterwards and went home and slept for three hours. Now I have big, gross blood spots on my eyeball (normal) and lots of eye drops to take for the next couple of weeks. I just can't even explain how amazing it is to be able to see. I've had glasses since 5th grade, contacts since 8th. This is just incredible.

I went to a TLC Laser Eye Center and I totally recommend them, despite the fact they gave me the wrong anti-inflammatory eye drop to bring home - they were supposed to have given me a stronger one, but luckily I noticed the name on the box did not match the name on the instruction sheet so I got the correct drops today. So, no biggie.

Congratulations! I hope to get this myself one day, not only so that I can see but so that I can also wear all manner of cheap ridiculously oversized sunglasses.
