Underworld was GREAT. Their new songs are awesome. As expected, there were a lot of frat boy types who all went mental when they played "Born Slippy." We were standing underneath the balcony and I heard a great, drunken roar so I looked up to see about five frat boys all sort of sloshing around with cups of beer in their hands, and I just imaged one of them dropping their beer on us so we moved away from the balcony. You could see drip markings on the front of the balcony too. Ug. Imagine getting beer dripped on your head from a balcony? Gross.

I didn't want to go to the coat check so I tried tying my coat to a banister near where we were standing, but a security guard wouldn't let me do it, so I just tossed it in a corner where I could see it and sure enough it was gone when I went to go get it. I mean, I just knew it was going to happen; I don't know why I did it. Duh. I'm lazy.

We had the hardest time getting a cab on 10th Ave. afterwards. It was really bizarre. Five empty cabs, with their "On Duty" light on, simply drove right past us. One stopped and as were walking towards it, just drove off, and another one wouldn't take us when we said we were going to Brooklyn. It seemed like not a very good area, 10th Ave at 33rd, so we figured cabs just don't pick anybody up around there.
