Today George and I were sitting in the cafe of the Angelika waiting to see Gerry (which was awesome), when this guy comes sloshing up to us in his full-on rain gear saying he was casting for the new Avril Lavigne video, and could he take our polaroid? We're like, sure, and then he asked how old we were, and I said "28" and I swear his jaw just dropped open and he said "BOTH OF YOU?!? You've got to be kidding!" blah blah blah Turns out, this was not anywhere near the demographic they were looking for (click here, then click on "Video"). There was a huge line to get into the movie that was starting right then, so he took our photos in front of this huge line. I had on a zip-front sweater that zipped up the neck, and he's like "what do you have on under that?" So I said, uh, a black shirt, and he's like, oh that would be better, and asked me to take off my sweater. We wrote our phone numbers down on the back of the photo and he wrote our heights down, and that was that. He said they wouldn't be calling everybody, but if they did call us it would shoot on Wednesday and it pays $100. Then he asked if we'd do it for free, and at the same time I say "Sure!" and George says "No!" Ha! He then asked if we were fans, and George just said flat-out no, which is so true. I can't even tell you how many bitch sessions we've had about her, how fake and boring she is. But that wouldn't stop me from being in one of her videos! When the guy left George is like, great ,we just wrote our phone numbers down on the backs of our photos for some guy who said he's casting for an Avril Lavigne video. And I'm like, oh yeah, that is kinda bizarre. If they're out scouting does that mean not enough people showed up to the open-casting call? Who knows. The best thing to come of this is that the scout thought we were between the ages of 18 and 23. Yahoo! I guess red wine and margaritas just melt the years away.

Last Thursday I saw Claire Danes in a shoe store. She was so cute! She looked like a deer in headlights, probably waiting to be recognized at any moment. I was trying so hard not to stare.
