Attack of the Roly-Suitcases

I think suitcases with wheels may be replacing double-wide strollers with ten bags of toys hanging off them, and golf-umbrellas, as my biggest pedestrian pet peeve. I used to work with a woman who rolled one of these things into work everyday. The act of snapping the handle down and picking it up at a moment's notice is some kind of urban artform. Maybe this move can be called the "snap-n-grab." They truly seem more trouble then they are worth. The wheels don't run smoothly over sidewalks and pavement (you can hear them rumbling along from a mile away), and often times I've seen them go out of control, some of the wheels losing contact with the ground, putting the owner off balance while trying to right the damn thing. It was real funny to see the people who insisted on using these things even after the snowstorm, dragging them over ice and through puddles. Get a tote bag! People need to attach an orange flag at the bottom of them, like when trucks have big pieces of wood hanging out the back. They even make backpacks that turn into these things! The backpack/stroller/suitcase is only a matter of time now...
