Thurston Moore poem about the blackout, plus a rambling recollection from Lee Ranaldo (and some neat photos).

Has anyone seen the commercial for the Sprint picture phone, with a woman taking a picture of some slob eating a hotdog or whatever and getting the food all over him? And the woman sends a picture of the slob to her friend and says "Here's a picture of your new boyfriend. Don't you love your new boyfriend?" Well, G and I just cannot figure this commercial out. Is it really her boyfriend, or is the woman just joking with her friend? The friend says "Yes. I do love him." I think it really is her boyfriend, but G disagrees. Does anyone else think this is a weird, confusing commercial?

Elliott Smith obituary.

New book for kids turning 30. Ug. That's me.
