Watched American Splendour tonight. The jelly bean scene was the best.

So I've never owned an air conditioner before. I'm kind of obsessing over it. Actually, the first time I ever lived with air conditioning in my whole life was with G. It felt so decadent, to cool ones air, more decadent than buying paper towels. Fans, that's all I ever used growing up. I liked talking into them and hearing my voice go all robotic, and sticking a crayon on the middle part and watching the color swirl and spread around. My mom didn't like that so much.

The one time in my life I remember being unbearably hot was at soccer camp in 8th grade, at NH Technical College in Concord (it had to have been 8th grade because I brough a Cure poster with me). The power went out one night, during a heat wave, and I remember laying in the cinderblock dorm room on a bed that stuck out from the wall, nearly weeping in agony in the thick, humid, still air.

Patriot Act: A Public Meditation. Definitely want to see this.
