Well, it was bound to happen at some point: my wallet got stolen in the subway. And it wasn't even a rush hour train, which makes me feel like a fool. In fact, there were about five people in the car with me! But one guy was sitting kind of too close to me, and when I exited and started to walk down the platform I noticed him really close to me again, and then he sped past me. I wonder if he did it as I was standing in front of the door, waiting for it to open. Anyway, when I reached in to get my PATH card I noticed it was gone. So I retraced my steps in the pouring rain, didn't find it, then ran to G's building where the doorman gave me $5 to get home. I love the extremes in this city - one minute you're being robbed, the next minute a complete stranger is giving you train fare. So now I'm in the process of replacing everything, which means I'm a prisoner of my identityless-ness and will be sitting at home this weekend waiting paitently for my new bank card to arrive in the mail.

The gusgus Tom Selleck Mustache Competition is tomorrow! Send your entries to TSC@gusgus.com Can't wait to see the winner!

Orbital have played their last gig. They were great to see live, with their cool little light-up glasses bobbing around. And it was kind of funny to just see them sitting down and smoking in their keyboard cavern while the music raged on unimpeded.

Slumberland is against the war in iraq. As if you needed another reason to love this label? And I'm quite excited to see they have a 14 Iced Bears cd for sale (click on "catalog" then "albums"). I'll have to buy this...as soon as my new bank card comes in the mail!
