As anyone who already lives here knows, renting in NYC sucks. The article says that rental prices increased by 8.3% last year. I hope my landlord doesn't read that!! My downstairs neighbors landlord raised their rent by $600 and now they are moving, dammit. I'd be totally effed if my landlord did that! A rent increase that high would almost surely send me to Providence.
