I've finally been cleared for Lasik in my right eye and my appointment is next Thursday! I cannot wait. As you might remember I had the left eye done while still in NYC, and didn't have time to get the other eye done before I moved. I've had my contact out of my right eye for two weeks now to allow my cornea to go back to it's normal shape, and it is a pain in the ass. I have to literally press my face up to the computer screen at work to see it, and overall I just feel off. G has been an amazing help. He's been driving me to and from work (and has started calling me "Ms. Daisy.") He's also been cooking up a storm and making some really amazing food: pizza, chocolate chip hazlenut banana bread, tofu masaman, ice cream cake with amaretto whipped cream...we haven't eaten this well all year! Hopefully we will stop eating out so much now that he's off for the summer and can cook more. I was going through my check book register and figuring out how much we spend on restaurant meals each month: let's just say it's too much. His food is better than most of the meals we get out anyway. I'm sick of paying for mushy veggie burgers and grease-soaked pizza.

But anyway: Lasik next Thursday. They say I will be able to see fine by the next day and I'll be back to work on Monday. I'm really looking forward to getting this done and plan on ceremoniously throwing out all my remaining contacts.
