Terrible flashbacks to the Challenger disaster. I can only hope this time they don't discover it was a totally preventable accident, sheer bad judgement on NASAS part, just like Challenger. It's enraging. Did something about having the first Israli astronaut on board cause some bad decisions, all the media attention and pressure put on this launch, just like Challenger? Where they in a hurry to launch, even when it wasn't safe to launch, like Challenger? "I Touch the Future" by Robert Hohler, ex-Concord Monitor reporter whom I now think works for the Boston Globe, is an excellent book on the Challenger Disaster, and it is just absolutely maddening. My dad was friends with Christa McAulliffe and proof-read her essay for the Teacher in Space Contest. I don't blame him that he's never been able to talk about it.
