It took three days for that last post to show up. Blogging is utterly annoying at times.
I'm in total paranoid war mode. I keep thinking I need to carry a bottle of water with me and a dusk mask at all times, which I did the week following 9/11. I asked Wendy for a set of her keys in case I get stuck in NJ. I offered a set of mine to her, but she's in right in wondering how useful they'd be since I'm in Brooklyn and she'd be stuck in Manhattan if anything happened. I guess it doesn't hurt anyway. I'm most worried about something terrible happening in the subway. I'm trying to get into the cars that I know open right in front of exits, ususally the first and last cars, but sometimes the middle. I hate thinking like this! No wonder my jaw has been clenched for the last four days. I broke down and scheduled a massage at a spa near my house. I had a massage there once before and it was amazing. It was my first time with a male masseuse, which was kind of weird, but he was awesome. He made a wart disappear from my thumb that I'd had for like two years! He did something called Esalen massage and a little bit of shiatsu.
Anway, so I've been watching CNN all the time. I think Aaron brown is the best news anchor around right now. He's a welcome relief from those "greatest generation" fogies on network tv. And Christiane Amanpour...I wish I could think of a better description than "totally rocks," but it's true! I cannot wait for this woman to write a book (Maybe she has; I couldn't find one). She is definitely added to my list of heroes and idols (The list as it stands now: Tina Fey, Paul Lukas, Howard Zinn, and now Ms. Amanpour).
