We just ran up on the roof and watched a giant grey raincloud descend over Brooklyn and now we're being treated to a nice afternoon rainshower. It looked really cool. The nasty humidness has finally broken a little too, thank god. I'm getting really tired of taking three showers a day.

Didn't do much this weekend since it was so gross out. Sat around watching Sex and the City, mostly. I have to admit I really like this show, and am contemplating reading the book. It's got so many good one-liners ("Staten Island is like a quaint European country: the music is ten years behind and everyone smokes.") and I like the New York-centric-ness of it.

Speaking of other New York-centric things, I'm rereading Slaves of New York by Tama Janowitz. The Amazon review pretty much sums it up: "At its best, Slaves effervesces a bittersweet nostalgia for a time when artists could still afford to live in Manhattan."
