It's been a tumultuous couple of days; I have the worst case of post-vacation depression ever. Going to see Before Sunset hasn't helped much; although I was pleasantly surprised with this movie and ended up loving it, fighting back the tears because I had to go to class right afterwards. The song Julie Delpy sings at the end is the best. I need to have this soundtrack just because of that song. Not sure what it's called; perhaps "Let Me Sing You a Waltz." So, so sweet I was dying. Go see this movie if for nothing but that song.

Saw Paint it Black and A Global Threat at Knitting Factory tonight. I hadn't been to a punk show in ages. I love the energy at these shows, of which there was plenty during Global Threat: people jumping on stage and screaming into the microphones and then diving into the crowd, mosh pit flailing the entire time. But Paint it Black were more melodic, and I guess that's how I prefer my punk rawk.

Before that we stopped by an opening; that's always a great way to start the evening, with art and free wine.
