It's done! My final paper is done! Well, besides the brief once-over it will get on Saturday morning - It's done! Oh how I've loathed this paper since it was assigned - in fact the entire class has been a drag - but now the end is in sight. My final class is on December 12, and then it's an entire month off before the drudgery starts up all over again. It's going to be double-duty drudgery too: I'm taking two classes in the spring and summer, and then writing my thesis in the fall. They are going to have to carry me out of NYU on a stretcher next December, I swear to God.

But if the tarot card reader I saw over Thanksgiving is right, I should be getting a raise or a promotion in January. A little extra dough to make the medicine go down! If anyone is interested in a reading, this woman was AWESOME (and not just because she saw some moola in my cards!). If you want her contacft info just leave a comment. She's in Manch, and will also do readings over the phone.

I have a new favorite website: French-Word-a-Day. Each entry has an audio file of a word being pronounced - sometimes the writer has her kids pronounce the word and it is so cute! Each entry is written in English, but peppered with French words which are defined at the end of the post.

One of the posts links to this book: A Real American Breakfast by Cheryl Alters Jamison and Bill Jamison. Breakfast is my absolute favorite - especially breakfast buffets! - so this book is heading onto my must-have list. A whole cookbook of breakfast stuff! I'm craving big, giant, fluffy, buttery, syrupy pancakes just thinking about it!

Onto today's disgusting news, I had to go to the doctor today and have some compacted ear wax removed. I couldn't hear anything out of my right ear for about 24 hours. It totally sucked. The doctor squirted my ear full of water with an irrigator, and that did the trick: a giant wad of ear wax fell out and into the sink. Nasty! I even tried ear candles last night, but no dice. Those things are scary. I will never use them again. I did not like having a giant, flaming cone sticking out of my ear, seeing the flame shadows dance on the wall as G held the protective tinfoil up around it.

Took a look at the new Richard Ashcroft video. Eh. Underwhelming, both song and video. New album = tour, however, and I am definitely going to go see him.
