One of my co-workers walked over the Brooklyn Bridge to get to work today and said borough president Marty Markowitz was there, singing "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" through a bullhorn to his frozen, commuting constiuancy. Ha! Go Marty! He was also on the bridge during the blackout, on the Brooklyn side, shouting encouragements as we all trudged home: "Welcome to Brooklyn! You're home! You've almost made it! Keep going!" It was really awesome to see him doing that.
