Just as predicted, I am totally kicking myself for not going to see Richard Ashcroft last night at Webster Hall. According to my classmate, he played for nearly three hours, including "Urban Hymns" in it's entirety, plus other Verve songs (insert Fred Flintstone-style swear tirade here). I knew I would regret this, so I consoled myself with tickets for Brian Jonestown Massacre with the Lillys at Webster Hall in May, which will kick-off a long weekend in Seattle to see my Pacific Northwest peeps. It will be G's first trip to the Emerald City, which should make it extra fun. I can't wait to witness his first experience of everyone paying with their own credit card at dinner!
If Brian Jonestown and My Bloody Valentine had a baby it would be Serena Maneesh. They are at Northsix on Saturday, and I have a feeling this is a show not to be missed (thanks for the tip, Echodeck).
