Back from Seattle. As usual, had a blast and I am already plotting my next trip back. Kerry took G and Eric and I to the Volunteer Park Conservatory where I snapped this pic.

Eric took G and I to the totally amazing Seattle Public Library, designed by Rem Koolhass. The bulk of my Seattle pics I took in here.

G and I in the scenic library overlook. This made me totally dizzy and I had to get off.

Caution: Fiction.

Descending into the book pod.

The sleestak should be here any minute...

Biography.

The escalator.
Overall, the only problem with this place was the underground parking garage. The spaces were so tiny and crammed together - it was really hard to park. Cleary he forgot he was designing for giant American gas guzzlers, not sleek little European cars.

Been back since Monday. Work was horrendous, I started my summer semester, and my landlords informed me I need to be out of the apartment by July 1 because they are renovating. Yep, great to be back!

My amusing subway story of the week: saw a guy with a saxophone and deely boppers on the F train exclaiming: "I'm gonna get Bush and send him to space! Then I'm gonna come back and get Cheney too!" I had to admire his conviction. I hope he succeeds.

I love the pics almost more than I liked the library. I found that depending on where I was in it I felt either vertigo, nauseau or claustrophobia.
