New Jersey has canned their new slogan, "Come See For Yourself," because apparently some other states have used it in the past. It's a little depressing to think of other states having used this lame slogan too. A slogan should capture the essence of the state, right? This is such a lazy slogan - it makes YOU do all the work by telling you to come visit the state and "see for yourself" rather than the ad telling you anything about the state. For instance, New Hampshire uses "You're going to love it here." Now that's proactive and positive, actually telling you that you will love it there! My suggestion for NJ's new slogan is "On Second Thought...Never Mind."

And you will in fact love it in NH! I think their new slogan should be NH: The State that Delivers!

Meanwhile MA's motto could be: "Yes, You Asshole, I AM Giving You The Finger."
