I had PRK on my left eye today, and I can already see!!! It's a little fuzzy because I have a protective contact on the eye, but it's still totally amazing. They said my vision would get worse before it gets better, starting tomorrow evening into Sunday, then it should start to improve for good.
The procedure was a walk in the park. I was on the table for about five minutes. They pumped my eye full of drops then did their magic. I saw all kinds of bright, flashing lights and just focused on a red dot. Then it was done. They gave me a low-dose Valium before the procedure too. I didn't feel like I needed it, but it I was glad I took it when I got home because it helped me sleep. Oh, and riding the subway by yourself on Valium: not recommended! Especially when a homeless guy with no legs in a wheelchair is coming towards you asking for money and playing a harmonica! Talk about a bad trip!

Here are the giant Jackie O glasses they gave me to wear home (which I didn't), and all my eye drops. One drop in each eye, four times a day. In fact, it's time to get my drops on as my eye is starting to burn. More PRK updates later!
