Still on Amsterdam time, as it's 6am on a Sunday and I'm up blogging. And the local cafe doesn't open until 8am, darn it. I have no food and I'm ravenous! Anyway, some more highlights:

Stedelijk Museum CS. The "CS" stands for "Central Station," since the real Stedelijk is under renovation so they moved it to temporary quarters near Central Station. Kind of like MoMA Queens. I particularly enjoyed the Michel Majerus show, "What Looks Good Today May Not Look Good Tomorrow."

As an alternative to the Anne Frank house, we visited the Verzetsmuseum, the Dutch Resistance Museum, which "tells about the everyday life and resistance in the Netherlands during the occupation by Nazi Germany. Only a few people openly resisted, and the resistance developed very gradually" (from the brochure). Heartbreaking and scary as hell, as you can imagine. They had on display a door that once led to a hiding place in a Dutch apartment.

We took a day trip about an hour north of Amsterdam and visited a group of windmills called the "Three Sisters." There happened to be a Citroen convention going on when we got there, so there were antique Citroens everywhere. Cool! The pics are still on G's camera, but I'll try and post one soon.

So now it's back to reality (and humidity). Two days before I left I was promoted to Trademark Coordinator, so I'm going to be flat out for many months as I rewire my brain to grasp the boggling world of trademark. So today is my calm before the storm, which I think I'll spend flushing all the chocolate, cheese and beer out of my system. Actually, that will probably take more than a day!

I will try and do an Amsterdam Food Round-up for Hot Lunch, so stay tuned...

Trademark Coordinator? Sounds cool! If you need TM advice, let me know. Er, wait until the Bar exam is over though (July 28). That part of my brain is non-functional until then.
