Off to San Francisco tomorrow for work - yay! My airplane nerves are starting to settle in, however. I'll be chugging Rescue Remedy for breakfast, and if that doesn't work, my manager recommended two Dramamine and a glass of wine. Ha!

Picked up two books for the flight: Words in a French Life by Kristin Espinasse. This is based on her blog French Word-A-Day. Each post is a little anecdote about her life in Provence, written in English but peppered with French words. I love hearing her kids pronounce les mots! My only complaint about the book is that it does not tell you how to prounce each French word she uses - only the word of the day. Oh well - I still like it.

I also picked up Cooking For Mr. Latte by Amanda Hesser, a food writer for the New York Times. These are essays with recipes that originally appeared in the New York Times magazine, and it follows her courtship with "Mr. Latte" (who is actually the writer Tad Friend) and culminates with them getting married. It's very cute.
